Delete your account

In the app (fastest)

1. Open the app and go to your Profile.
2. Under Your data, choose Delete account.
3. Confirm with your password.

You can also export a copy of your data from the same place before you delete.

Without the app

Email splitone@split1app.com with the subject “Delete my account”, from the email address your account is registered with. We only act on requests we can verify came from the account owner, so a request from a different address will get a reply asking you to write from the registered one. Once verified, we start the same deletion process as the in-app path.

What happens next

• Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period. Nothing is removed straight away, so an accidental request cannot destroy your data.
• During those 30 days you can change your mind — sign in to the app and cancel the deletion from the same place, or email us.
• After the grace period, deletion is permanent: your account, profile, sessions and lap times, evidence photos, videos, posts and comments are deleted or irreversibly anonymised. This cannot be undone.

What we keep, and why

• Block records — so a block placed against an account keeps protecting the person who placed it.
• Moderation and safety records, where needed to enforce our rules or the law.
• Records we are legally required to retain.

Deleting content without deleting your account

You do not need to delete your account to remove something you posted. Posts, comments and videos can each be deleted individually in the app, and your privacy settings control what appears on your profile.
