Privacy policy
Version 1.0 · effective 24 August 2026
This policy explains how SplitOne handles personal data in connection with the website at split1app.com. It is written for the website as it is today: there are no accounts, no sign-in, no forms and no payments on this website.
The SplitOne mobile app has not been released. A separate privacy policy covering the app and the karting data you record in it will be published before release.
Who is responsible for your data
SplitOne is the controller of the personal data described here. Registered company details will be published on this page before the app is released. You can reach us at splitone@split1app.com.
What we collect
Server access logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records a technical log entry each time a page is requested. That entry can include your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, the referring page, and your browser and operating system version.
Email you send us
If you email us, we hold your email address and whatever you choose to put in the message, so that we can reply.
What we do not collect
- We do not set cookies on this website — see our cookie policy.
- We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
- We do not have accounts, so we hold no profile, password or karting data from this website.
- We do not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes.
Why we process it, and our legal basis
- Server logs — to keep the website running, to diagnose faults and to protect it against attack and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating and securing our own website.
- Email correspondence — to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
How long we keep it
- Server access logs: kept for a short operational period and then deleted automatically.
- Email correspondence: kept while it is useful to us, and then deleted.
Who else sees it
We use service providers to host the website and to handle our email. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell personal data to anyone.
Where your data is processed
We host this website in a United Kingdom or European region by choice. Where any provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on an approved transfer mechanism such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- ask us to erase your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- ask for your data in a portable format, where that right applies.
To exercise any of these, email splitone@split1app.com. We will respond within one month. Exercising your rights is free, and we will not treat you differently for doing so.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is aimed at adults and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal data from children. Age rules for the SplitOne app will be set out in the app’s own policy before release.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes — in particular, if we later add analytics to this website, this policy and our cookie policy will be updated first, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it. The date at the top shows the last change.
